Advance Jim Corbett Safari Booking Procedure

To book a safari at Jim Corbett National Park, please ensure the following procedure is followed:

  1. Visitor Information:

    • Provide the full name, age, and sex of each visitor, exactly as it appears on the identity cards. This is essential for the booking process.

    • The confirmatory amount for the safari must be submitted along with the details.

  2. Preferred Dates and Timings:

    • Indicate your preferred travel dates and safari timings during the booking process.

  3. Advance Safari Entry Fee:

    • Ensure payment of the required safari entry fee in advance to secure your booking.

  4. Identification Proof:

    • Provide the specific ID card number from the ID proof you're holding, such as a voter ID, Aadhar card, or driving license.

    • It is mandatory to carry the same ID card used for booking during your safari.

  5. Refund Policy:

    • Note that if the safari permit is booked electronically, it is non-refundable.

  6. Advance Notice:

    • Intimate us at least 30 days in advance for booking.

    • For foreign tourists, booking can be done up to 90 days in advance.

  7. Passport Requirement for Foreign Tourists:

    • Foreign tourists must provide their passport details for the reservation.

  8. Safari Zone Availability:

    • Zones are assigned based on availability, and your safari will be conducted in one of the zones of Corbett National Park.

  9. Seasonal Operation of Dhikala Canter Safari:

    • The Dhikala Canter Safari operates from 15th November to 15th June each year. The safari is unavailable during the remaining months due to the rainy season.

Important Information to Remember for Corbett Safari Booking

  1. Entry Permit:

    • You will be issued an entry pass during the online booking process. The entry permit is provisional and may be canceled without prior notice.

  2. Authority and Decision:

    • The Director of Corbett Tiger Reserve holds the final authority over all decisions. All rules are governed by this authority.

  3. Non-transferability:

    • The entry permit is strictly non-transferable.

  4. Registered Guides:

    • Only official registered guides are permitted to accompany tourists during safaris. Please do not replace them for convenience.

  5. Entry After Sunset:

    • Entry to the National Park is strictly prohibited after sunset.

  6. Weekend Pricing:

    • Be aware that safari prices may be higher on Saturdays and Sundays.

  7. Dhikala Zone Restrictions:

    • The Dhikala Tourist Zone is only accessible to tourists who have stayed at the Forest Lodge.

  8. Vehicle Rules:

    • Getting down from the vehicle during the gypsy safari is strictly prohibited.

  9. No Pets Allowed:

    • No pets are allowed inside Corbett Tiger Reserve (CTR). Please avoid carrying them.

  10. Visitor Responsibility:

    • All visitors are expected to adhere to the rules and regulations for their safety and cooperation with the authorities.

  • There are two types of permits issued for tourists:

    1. Day Visit Permit:

      • Required for visiting the park during the day, with a specific limit on the number of visitors.

      • Both Indian and foreign tourists need a day pass to visit any area of Jim Corbett.

    2. Night Stay Permit:

      • This permit guarantees accommodation at the Forest Lodge.

      • The night stay permit can be booked for a minimum of 1 night and a maximum of 3 nights, and it ensures your stay in the park’s forest rest houses.
